Our mission is to optimize and accelerate development of XR by providing Imitera Core to developers and customers. By enabling the creation of virtual interactions as natural and seamless as meeting face-to-face, we want to ensure that more users realistic and effortless can navigate the vast expanses of the virtual universe.
Imitera was founded by the visionary creator John Nilsson, who among other inventions, created the "jDome Bike Around". This virtual portable dome, initially developed for immersive gaming experiences, evolved to serve the MedTech market.
The dome is paired with a stationary bicycle designed for activation and exploration, becoming a cherished tool used in care and rehabilitation centers. It is suitable for individuals with disabilities, including acquired brain injury, dementia, intellectual/cognitive disabilities, and those who have suffered from a stroke.
Furthermore, Imitera developed the AR mobile experience "Pop-in & Play" to foster a love of reading among children. Utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) technology, Imitera breathes new life into published books by transforming images into "magic windows." Through these magic windows, readers can engage in dialogues with the characters and answer questions based on the text, thereby motivating them to read.
